French Terry is a premium, mid-weight knit fabric widely used in streetwear and sportswear due to its distinct dual-textured construction. It features a smooth, flat face on the outside and a soft, uncut looped structure (loop-back) on the inside.
Key Characteristics:
Weight: Typically ranges from 200 to 450 GSM. It offers a structured silhouette with an excellent drape, providing more substance than a standard t-shirt without the heavy bulk of winter fleece.
Composition: Commonly made of 100% cotton for maximum breathability, or blended with polyester for added durability and wrinkle resistance. Spandex blends are often used to provide stretch and shape recovery.
Performance: Highly breathable and moisture-wicking. The intact interior loops allow air to circulate, making it an excellent fabric for transitional weather and active wear.
